MY WORLD IS WEIRD
so i'm sitting at work the other day and because we're geeks, we have the ability to pop text and images up on other people's computers.
one of my buddies slaps an image up on my screen from his office across the building. i pause, glance over and look at it. three older people; two men and one woman with red hair. one of the men looks familiar for some reason. i can't deny the resemblance of the other man - it is clearly my buddie's dad. that leads me to the conclusion that the woman is his mother. before i can add it all up and put the pieces together, a text message quickly follows the image. my eyes pop to that - it reads: "my parents hangin out with jimi page of led zeppelin"
i had to laugh because of the way it was worded ... like he actually had to add that last bit in there as if i wouldn't know who jimi page was. i asked him when that was taken...he said, this past weekend!!
come to find out my buddie's mother teaches an art class. jimi page's ex-wife (who he still happens to be close with) is a student. a party was thrown and guess who decided to come along.
the guitar legend is fast aging too - that's why it took me a second to figure out who it was.
