finally, a copy of our film - "A Frank Tale" - which DID NOT make it into the wellington finals. they screen on thursday and i'll be very interested in seeing what did qualify as a final.

i say it every year and i'll say it again this year too - i don't participate in the 48hr film fest to win some prize, instead, i do it to see what can be accomplished in two days when you get a group of talented individuals together.

of all the five or so years i've participated in this little event, i would have to say i'm most proud of this effort. amazingly, something coherent actually came out of the process. you'd not have thought so if you saw how the first few hours of brainstorming kicked off. many thanks to the whole team, and especially eric and max who rangled the troops, kept us fed so well and provided such an amazing location in which to shoot all weekend. stellar effort! would do it all again tomorrow.

for those of you who are not familiar, we're given a few guidelines on the friday when we draw our genre at random. these usually come in the form of a prop, a line of dialog, and a character who usually has some unique idiosyncrasy.

this year, those elements were:

PROP: a brush

LINE OF DIALOG: wait a minute

CHARACTER: Kerry Post, who is a perfectionist

GENRE: Animal Film

without further adieu, i give you "A Frank Tale" - enjoy!

write me an e-mail if you have kind words to share. heck, write me an e-mail even if you don't.

ps: i was the guy behind the camera. can you spot my accidental appearance in the film? look hard, i'm there.
