HDMOTHERLODE DOT COM
well, since the site is moving forward with development after almost a year of no activity, i thought it might be time to get out and use the camera some more and run some tests that i've been curious about. i got the HVX's 2fps hack working finally ... so, i decided to go shoot some traffic shots in conjunction with the motion head.
so it was off to work i went (literally). i went to the building where i work, parked the car and then unloaded the gear at roughly midnight where i sat for perhaps an hour and a half.
i decided this was a better alternative than setting up somewhere in town with all the crazies out and about - being a saturday night and all. i didn't feel like dealing with a bunch of drunken people asking me the same questions over and over.
what you'll see are 3 or 4 passes at the same round-a-bout, each with a different motion head setting which results in the different pan speeds. i was trying to find the optimum speed for a night shoot like this. i think i prefer the second one.
the vid is fairly large (45mb) so click the link and go bake a cheese cake or somethin while it loads...enjoy
