FRIDAY AFTER WORK, 46˚ WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS

not exactly the thing you want to come home to on a friday evening but there it was, a HUGE pile of wood. i had purchased this yesterday and had specifically asked that they deliver it ONLY if the weather was going to be clear and dry. apparently, they just wanted to complete the sale, so they delivered it today...scattered showers and all. thanks "ABLAZE" for adhering to my request. at least they dumped it in the right driveway so all is not lost.

anyway, i couldn't let it sit there untouched all night (IN THE RAIN)...i had to stack it, up the 32 stairs and 20 steps around the back of the house on the deck. that went well for all of about 2.5 hours until i got a little bored. i stopped my manual mule haul and made some dinner - but not before i played pyromaniac again and took some of my new wood for a test drive. i only got about 3/5 of the pile moved to the back of the house in the end. not a good thing when i sit here typing away while the rain splatters on the windows...lovely, wet fire wood.

its a little damp and its a little smoky in the house right now, but it'll eventually clear. makes me think i'm in the mountains and when i awake tomorrow morning i'm gonna find 4 feet of freshies on the ground...its nice to dream isn't it? ehhh, what'dyou know!

tomorrow, i buy an AXE...
