ANOTHER LAZY WEEKEND

made breakfast burritos again yesterday. in doing so, i ran out of my preferred B.B. hot sauce (pictured). today, i finished up the yummy B.B's with a selection from Cholula instead which was gifted to me by lucas from work. he saw fit to share his stash when i mentioned that i too would join in his plight to no longer utilize (ie: waste) paper towels when we used the bathroom. it's a simple thing really and when he started spewing the massive numbers of towels that are utilized by an individual over the course of a year, i thought...hmmm...do i really NEED to use a paper towel? the pants work just fine and hey, wouldn't ya know it...water evaporates!

travel status update:
stopped in on jordan from weta workshop on friday to check the status of the motion head he and pietro are building for me. i was blown away when i laid my eyes on the scattered components lying about the work bench. the quality is top notch and when i hefted the thing, i had second guesses about being able to haul myself to the vantage points i was hoping to attain. i'd guess it weighed roughly 5 pounds at this stage. we discussed milling out some of the excess aluminum at some stage to potentially take away about 1/5 of the weight.

either way, i'm extremely happy because the whole trip is basically revolving around this device and my desire to capture this moving timelapse footage for the new web endeavor i'm involved in. knowing that all is on schedule has lifted a great deal of pressure from my planning. my new worries now revolve around the affordability of the trip. it is gonna be close, reeeeeaaaaaal close financially.

i've made it beyond friends visiting from Antarctica and my last pair of couchsurfers for the time being. all that's left now is basically packing and hoping that the bags come in under 115 lbs all told.

did a little more sound recording to kill some time last night and will have another session tonight if the weather allows. i'm focusing on kitchen noises and if you're curious, you can see all my sound effect recordings at mark's new site:
www.sound-effect.com - just search for 'i8bozo' and all of my sounds will come back in the results. i'm having fun with that because the possibilities seem endless.

it's all a cash saving waiting game for now. maybe i'll go pull some more weeds.
