"WAKED" - THE SHORT FILM
over the past two weekends i've been lending a hand to my friend Mike Murphy and his first short film which is entitled 'Waked'. don't ask me what its about because i don't really know - even after quickly perusing the script and watching the entire thing be acted/filmed. i think i heard the word 'redemption' somewhere over the 4 days i was there. above, you see lucas, an ex-weta workshop employee in the role of bill. lucas is now a postal worker which allows him more freedom and flexibility to persue his acting. he's funny as crap too. i have a feeling he's gonna hit me up for some roto work for HIS short film that's already been shot. all in all it was a great experience that i was happy to be apart of. i met some cool people with whom i shared many laughs. when your normal day job requires you sit around 10 hours a day, standing on a film set under hot lights all weekend while holding a boom over your head can really beat the crap outta ya. i'm glad it's behind me. i'm back to feeling like a truck ran over me from all the working out at the gym with pete. i'm gonna try to sleep in this weekend but somehow i have a feeling mother nature will wake me at around 8am.
