SLUSHY SLUSHY MISHY MUSHY

hit the mountain a few times recently because season will be over come the end of oct. two weeks ago, i went up with pete who had only been on a snowboard a total of three times previously. i gave him some pointers and a healthy dose of moral support. by sunday he was linking turns with some mild confidence. all told, he rode most of the main runs, albeit at his own pace, which was fine. i only hope he goes again soon so he doesn't forget what he's learned.
with this last storm that rolled through it left one of the less travelled slopes with some decent coverage. i had never been to this part of the mountain so it was nice to have some diversity along with a slight challenge to my ability. the angle felt good and made me think of canada where some of the steeper slopes they have to offer caused me much fright in my earlier days with less experience. there isn't too much of that here in NZ that is accessable at the resorts so i'll take what i can get.
a little off topic but still relative because it happened whilst on a snowboarding weekend. i had a lovely bashing of the brains with jack at dinner saturday night where he refuted every little 'controlled demolition' point that i mentioned with regard to the whole 9/11 thing thang. i was stunned and amazed at his staunch stance on the opposite end of opinion...he seemed to have an answer for anything i threw out there...even if his answers did seem a little bizarre...probably no more bizarre than the truth in which
i believe. i'm trying to let it go. i find solace in the fact that it's no big deal because we all die in the end anyway. why should i even care? sometimes i wish i was
sheeple, it would be so much easier. enough of that, look at the pretty picture. thanks to pete for the phote. i take full responsibility for messing it up.
