PEANUT BUTTER SINKERS!
a little while ago my sister sent me this recipe for peanut butter pancakes. i noted it on my master recipe list and then forgot about it - mainly because you have to make them from scratch which is somewhat of a time consuming endeavor.
well, today with the weather falling from the sky in non-stop little droplets, it seemed like a fine opportunity to whoop up some of these so called peanut butter sinkers and that's just what i did. first though it required my biweekly trek to the market for the requisite sustenance.
after having just taken myself precariously close to the edge of a food coma i can say i'm still not sure if the effort was worth while. they were subtle in their peanut buttery-ness and if you weren't paying attention, you'd never have known the difference. still, i'm happy my sister sent me the recipe to have a play with.
when i come up for air, i'm gonna have another stab at the kitchen for a round of lasagna which will feed me lunch for more than a week. i made it for a dinner with mark and mona lia this last week because they're departing for barcelona on the 27th and i was reminded of just how good mom's lasagna recipe actually is. thanks MOM!
in typing up this blog entry in text edit (because blogger is down at the moment) i've come to realize that i've been spelling two words wrong all these years. hopefully knowing about the new spellings will stick and i will be able to make the world that much better a place.
