EARLY MORNING WAKE UP
so yesterday morning ... i'm on the phone with my electrician at 8am discussing some of the upcoming work we're about to embark on when the need to take down some info hits me. i grab a pen and then go to scribble something on the yellow pages that is open on the counter, but just then - B A M !! - i put my hand down right on top of this guy!
a WETA...HOW'D THAT GET IN THE HOUSE!?! holy crap, instant increase in heart rate. coffee will have to wait on this morning.
i wasn't stoked and neither were they as you can tell by the defensive pose with the hind legs raised high. that thing was a good inch and a half in length. never one to pass up an opportunity, i captured him and then grabbed the video camera whereby we adjourned to my backyard film studio for some one on one performance capture. he'll end up on Nature Library at some point. in the end i let it crawl under a planter because those bugs are just too cool to squish under shoe.
