I8BOZO MODE . . .

who would have ever thought there would be a piece of computer code named "i8bozo mode"...certainly not me but it *has* happened.

it all started at work where we decided to change the particular application we use to do our job. we're transitioning away from Commotion and into a new offering to the visual effects world, "Silhouette SFX Roto", which is being created by the fine people that brought you Elastic Reality back in the early 90's...you know, that amazing software that allowed tigers morph into beautiful ladies. i'm sure you've seen it's work at some point in your life.

being the vocal, often caffeinated detail oriented person that i am and knowing that these guys were still writing the program; we were invited to be beta testers whereby we'd offer feedback and suggestions on it's development. needless to say, it wasn't long before i surpassed 200 posts on the forum and elevated myself to 'senior member' status. it's not been an easy ride for me (or some of the others on the receiving end of my input) because it has been pointed out that i let my frustrations get to me and then i vent in the forums. for that i must apologize. i do not have the grace and agility i wish i could possess. harsh comments aside, i must say that the programmers responsible for SFX Roto are doing a dang sweet job and their response time is amazing, sometimes with fixes and new implementations over night. they really do deserve much better treatment than i sometimes threw their direction. it's kinda been beating me up a little bit and i've been trying to lay low with my input of late. i'm actually making a list of new suggestions on the latest build that i'll combine with everyone else's when that time comes in the coming week or two.

on a semi-related topic...i just received the first india casualty news where a friend (who does the same job i do) has been laid off in los angeles because her job was outsourced to india. THIS is a HUGE wake up call. take note people...things are changing and changing fast. am i worried? not too much...
