LIFE IS BIZARRE
just got this image sent to me from someone wintering down in antarctica. i didn't recognize the name so i asked for clarification. could be someone i knew by a nickname possibly. it looks like such a different place in the dark. kinda gives me the creeps. really wish i could have done the whole year during my time there but i'm sure i'll get that chance later in life at some point.
to make things even more weird, i recently got in touch with a couple girls who i went to elementary school with. one was actually the first girl i think i ever kissed. both these girls grew up well and seem very happy in their lives. i am finding it very bizarre that we've managed to get in touch after all these years. brings back some interesting, albiet spotty memories of my past. i have to say thanks to brian for putting me in touch with them in the first place. would love to hook up with everyone in person next time i visit the states.
another interesting thing happened today as well...paul, my room mate, ex-coworker, snowboarding/filmmaking friend asked me to do the sound for his short film. talk about having a ton of bricks dumped on your back. i know next to nothing of the process but i'm up for the challenge. software is installed and now i'm staring at a 272 page PDF file trying to absorb some useful info. trial by fire...here i come.
