happenings of late
here are some of the things i've been getting up to recently.
- went and saw the van halen concert on a whim with my roommate pete last week. i'd like to thank the gentleman outside who sold me the tickets for half price. that made the concert much more enjoyable. inside, it was business as usual as far as the concert was concerned. we got to see mike's bass solo regurgitated yet again and alex's drum solo which was average by all standards. sammy was still the odd man out both in attitude and attire. he JUST doesn't fit with the other three members. on a positive note though, ed's guitar solo yielded some very interesting noises which seemed to be received very well by all. i would have paid full ticket price just to see ed noodle on the guitar for an hour. too bad he's not smart enough to stop smoking.
- mailed some things to antarctica recently. among the items shipped were: snowboard, snowboard boots, 5 kilos guatamalan coffee (pre-ground), poly-prop first layer gear, replacement parts for snowboard bindings, and a roll of tape. i hope it's waiting for me when i get down there come oct.
- dinner with friends erin and karen at toi thai (where erin can get her 'vegan' style food). it's good to finally catch up after more than 4 years of absense.
- fulfilling Nature Library ( http://www.naturelibrary.com ) orders as they come in, which of late has been more frequently than usual which is nice. tell a friend.
- trying to find people who are interested in collaborating with me on putting together a CDROM of nature still photography. if you know of anyone who might be interested, have them get in touch with me at the e-mail address in the upper right hand corner of this website.
- oh yeah, almost forgot...the day job too at warner brothers. that's pretty mellow and i'm enjoying my time there. got a good crew of people with a mellow vibe...doesn't get much better really. workin on 'Fat Albert' at the moment. the casting looks great but i'm sure the story will be sub-par. it usually is.
