gainfully employed once again
i started working at warner brothers this past monday. initially i thought i'd be working on sponge bob but that didn't actually happen. instead, i landed on a film called "after the sunset" which to my knowledge is a diamond heist film. it's all good.
this past weekend offered up something of an interesting event ... my 20 year high school reunion. i decided to be myself and went in true horhay fashion; all decked out in shorts and a tank top. i'm sure i ruffled some of those conservative OC feathers...but i don't care, i was comfortable and happy and that's all that mattered. besides, i'm not going to see most of those people ever again as i don't plan on attending any future events of that nature.
i laughed a great deal, told a few stories and had a much better time than i ever imagined i would. maybe it was because the way i was dressed. who knows, maybe i'll have started a trend with the dress down attitude, i highly doubt it but it's nice to think that something like that is possible.
i made a few acquaintances of which i'll continue to nourish over the coming months as time permits.
aside from that, i've scheduled the last part of my physical qualifying process...a trip to the dentist which will hopefully complete the arduous process required by Raytheon Polar Services and move me one step closer to getting to antarctica come october.
