antarctica update
just got a call from deanna at raytheon polar services. she mentioned a mix up down at mcmurdo and it appears that the crew that is down there at the moment is wanting to stay the winter over. i was asked if i'd mind going down for a shorter stay (oct - feb). i told her i was completely flexible so now it appears i'm in for a 5 month stint instead of a one year stay. departure date still remains october.
