although i've not had a normal 'day job' for a little while, that gives me no reason to become a slouch. i've been mildly busy at times. i finally managed to get 'some' of the antarctica footage online. you curious types can have a peek here:

it's a pretty time consuming process actually. broken down it looks like this: got to view a selected tape, decide what to capture, log the clips, batch capture them, verify whether or not it needs any color correction, stabilization or other post work, if post work is needed-do it, render those, screen snap the quicktime files to acquire the full rez jpeg, batch process the clips to make the small web versions, batch process the full rez jpegs to make the smaller web place holders, input all this data into the database, add descriptions, choose proper categories for each clip, export the database, upload the database, upload the individual, placeholder jpegs, full rez jpegs, and web movies. phew!
combine that with packin up one's possessions and tying up loose ends and there ya have it...
