the cough

one thing i'm sure not going to miss is the almost guaranteed 'cough' every time you exit a building and enter the overly cold outdoors. the air is so cold and the difference in temp is such that every time i exit a building, i seem to cough after my first full deep breath of the fresh cold dry air. it's bizarre and just part of the extreme conditions down here.

it's saturday night and everyone and their brother has whisked themselves off to a party of some sort. i've reserved myself for some editing and some footage capture instead. the alternative was a walk out to castle rock which can be up to a 7 mile hike. when i woke today i took a shower then never managed to get thoroughly warm so i blew off the hike this time around. i'll get it at some point. onward to the caffeine fueled editing frenzy...
