problems in the wild

he thrusts his fists high into the air, shakes them angrily and curses all the radio frequencies that float above his head. this simple fact has put a damper on my production as i had planned it. seems i'm getting a TON of interference with the wireless mic setup i had planned on using. those appear to be useless down here. maybe i should make a silent film. =)
looks like i may be in the market for a regular mic and a dat machine. anyone got any leads or suggestions to help me get over this little hurdle? who wants to be my boom operator? any suggestions on models that may fit my needs or which microphone to look at? i know literally zero about audio and it seems i'm in for a crash course. any help or advice would be most appreciated.
if i could get some feedback/info, i'll reward you with another photo gallery!!
i've got some other stories to relate (like the one about the fecal knife or my buddy that became dinner) but i'm a bit bummed now to share any more. i'm gonna go sleep it off.
